Do you have an expired visa, or is it expiring soon? There are some ways through which you will be able to renew it without having a scheduled interview in the US Embassy.

Qualifications

You should be eligible to all the following mentioned things if you want US Visa Renewal:

A B1/B2 visa that you wish to renew.

Your visa should be issued after July 1, 2007.

Your previous visa was at least 5 years old.

Your visa should not be expired for more than 12 months

Your visa should not be mentioned as “travel with the employer.”

You should have all the documents in the possession.

Here are the steps which you need to follow:

Fill out DS-160 Form

The first step is to fill out the DS-160 form as soon as possible. Don’t forget to note down application ID and security question in case you need to access the data.

Pay the Visa Fee

After filling out the receipt fee you need to pay the visa fee. Depending on your country the fee might vary. You can make the payment through online banking.

Creat CGI Federal Account

If you don’t have a CGI Federal Account you need to create one. Also remember, you only need to create one account otherwise it will end up in losing your visa. You can also apply for your family members using only one account.

Ensure that you meet all Requirements

Your all documents should be ready. Make sure you have proof of confirmation, passport, residential proof, and payment proof. You also need to submit the DS160 form confirmation page. Submit all the documents to the US embassy using some courier service.  

Wait for Approval

Once your documents are received by the embassy, you’ll get a confirmation email. After that, you only have to wait for US Visa Renewal. It is only a 3-day process but in some cases, it might take some more time.
