I Don’t Think I Would Have Met My Goals Without My Food Processor

I hit a point in my life where my health started to go down the toilet. I became unmotivated, stopped exercising, and stopped cooking nutritious meals for myself. I’m not sure exactly what happened, but I think I was experiencing some sort of depression. 

I was only on the verge of turning 30, so I knew this wasn’t good. I was too young to let myself get into a rut like this. I had to figure something out. I tried all kinds of things: meditation, taking walks, reading inspiring books. It helped but it didn’t solve the problem. 

I still wasn’t cooking well for myself. I was still getting fast food, frozen items and takeout. I knew that was probably the main part of my problem. As much as I wanted to resist, I had to figure out a better way to nourish my body. 

Everything pretty much pointed me in the direction of food prepping. I had never actually done that before, so I was a little worried. It seemed really daunting. That led me to look up ways to make food prep easier. I hadn’t even tried it and I was already looking for shortcuts. 

I wasn’t much of a cook, so I was pretty nervous. Luckily, there were a lot of simple things out there that I could do. One major tool that would simplify everything was a food processor. I had never used one before, but it was worth a shot. I figured anything was worth trying that made cooking easier. 

I called my mom to ask about a food processor. I had no idea what I was doing and I definitely needed her advice. She actually said that it was funny I was asking, because my dad just gave her a new one for their anniversary. It was mainly because he had no clue that she already had one. She offered it to me, but warned me that it may need replacement parts. 

I did some research and landed on the KitchenWorksUSA website, where I could buy Cuisinart 14 cup food processor parts. I needed some new blades and another food pusher because my mom’s got cracked. I placed my order and waited patiently for its arrival. 

When it arrived, I forced myself to get right to work. I was prepping food for the whole week, so I expected it to take super long. I was so surprised at how quickly I accomplished it with my food processor. I didn’t realize all that it could actually do to help me. 

I made it a habit of getting all of my food prepared on Sunday afternoons. It was the best day I had to put in the time. Once I was doing it for a few weeks, it became like second nature to me, and it got easier and faster. 

I experimented with different recipes that were healthy to see what I liked. I was surprised that there was so much out there that was good for me that wasn’t gross to eat. I allowed myself one night a week to order in, dine out, or even cook something that wasn’t good for me, although most of the time I didn’t waste time cooking bad food. 

I managed to really stick to my habit. I had a few glitches, but nothing major. Just some minor setbacks which didn’t deter me since now my mental health was improving between my food choices and exercise. It was seriously amazing to me how much good it did. 

Once I started seeing changes in my body, I got really motivated and l started going to the gym too. I know that working out alone wasn’t going to be enough to make this all work for me, and eventually I’d hit a plateau if all I did for exercise was walking. 

I was feeling so much better. Now I look forward to picking my recipes out and prepping my food. I’ve lost about 20 pounds in about 6 months and I can hardly believe it. Everyone I knew was really impressed by how I made it happen. 

I’m so thankful that I made these changes to vastly improve my life. I can honestly say that my Cuisinart food processor was the ultimate game changer in this situation. I cannot recommend this tool enough.
